If I had a band I might call it the Woozy Town Wobbly Warblers. Flat out b***hin' blues natch.

I lied.

The Animals were originally Chas. Chandler, Alan Price, who started the band, Hilton Valentine and John Steele. Burdon came in later. Dave Rowberry replaced Price after he went solo. Price had a great Brit career but never sang this side of the pond. Amazingly, the Animals disliked a lot of their material that they did as they were forced by their contract to put it out, and some of it was their best hits.

If you want to stock up on blues start in Orleans, Chicago, St. Louis, in the 20's. Willie Dixon and people he knew and sang with are a good start. S. B. Williamsons 1 and II are both good. Furry Lewis, J.B. Hutto, T-Bone Walker, Memphis Slim, Elmore James, Eddie Kirkland, Paul Butterfield, John Mayall, M. John Hurt, Cream. There are maybe 40 great names and bands to collect. Ella Fitzgerald may or may not be blues but stock her anyway.

Lots of names I am missing.

Like totally off topic, man.

Don't forget W.C Handy.

I find Judy Henske bluesy too, but I am probably the only one.
