Hi Doug: You present several points; and they are tough. But I'll respond as best I can.

- Who but the Fed can solve the problem? What IS the problem?

- Yes,he's made 11 or 12 cuts and they have not worked; but many homeowners have refinanced multiple times and sharp corporations have swapped high interest debt for much lower debt.

- His experience with deflation, [and I am convinced that we are not in a deflationary period] seems honest. He has not had to deal with deflation, though he appears to fear it.

- I do not think we are in a bear market. Certainly not in the Nasdaq. They may eventually break down, but I'm seeing an awful lot of major re-accumulation bottoms.
-

- I don't feel he's on a power trip; just doing the best he can.

I suspect that low interest rates, personal and corporate will eventually "work." The charts suggest that this may be so.
