Now you are approaching my point. You have just given several examples of people who did things that were "wrong" despite that their vision of future consequences convinced them that it might result in a greater practical good. Yet you do not absolve them of their action on that basis. How therefore, did you come to make the post:

"If I was convinced to support the effort it would only be with the idea that I was doing something wrong to try to create a great practical good""

How can you so clearly see that wrong actions of others are not sanitized by intended consequences, while you openly admit that YOU would do wrong if your vision was for a greater good. How are you different than the several examples you offered??
