This is very good synopsis of the USD global liquidity "passing the Old Maid Card" scheme. Illustrates why the Chinese are allowing their citizens to buy gold in an open market after June 1st. Reading this will re-warm you to gold real fast. Between government deficits and trade imbalances we're talking about the need to recycle a trillion USD in foreign reserves over the next year. How many more 4% home loans to unqualified, over indebted Americans can they make?

But the buzz word then was disinflation not deflation, which is several orders of magnitude worse.
