I do not think that one can analyze the various terms adequately. For example, there is a tendency to idealize the object of sexual attraction, in order to legitimize one's interest, instead of admitting that it is mainly lust. Besides, what is needed is to balance desire with esteem, and one may esteem someone for both indifferently human qualities, and for qualities that have a more sexually specific character. The main thing is to care for the person more than one would others, to feel that there is a bond established tying their fates together, and making them care for what happens to each specially.......
