How very unusual for you to be "pissed", Bill. Your imperial "we" is perhaps a bit unsustainable, though.

How the worm has turned.

Indeed. The UN was proclaimed dead, and now US and British politicians rejoice that they have a 14-0 UNSC vote.

The Euros figured out that they better make up to us!

A somewhat cynical alternative view of what the Europeans and Russians are doing is that after watching how we are managing(?) post-war reconstruction in Iraq, they want to formally wash their hands off the process, so we don't blame them when things blow up later. Unless we get a competent crisis manager type into Iraq pronto with unlimited powers to cut through bureaucracy and a lot of manpower and money at least for a few months, the Europeans and Russians will have the last laugh, I am afraid.

Somehow Bremer doesn't quite impress me. I am a bit prejudiced against people whose name starts with an initial and ends with a roman numeral. I hope I am wrong.
