HISTORY, n.
An account mostly false, of events mostly unimportant, which are brought about by rulers mostly knaves, and soldiers mostly fools.

>>The thread contains what many consider to be the funniest post (#reply-1102758) on any message board, ever.

I've never seen a funnier one. It warms my heart and puts a smile on my face every time I see it.

Ahh, those were the days! Time sure flies! I've been holding FBN paper for over five years now, and haven't lost a cent on it. Wish I could say that for everything. ;)

Thanks Kevin you made my day.

Wexler dumb @ss will get killed today on CYBG,,,
Halted ,,news pending,,

That was so funny. I remember reading this when someone posted it to Bill Wexler on the TPRO/TAVA thread.

About a year ago I spent several hours trying to locate that post without finding it. It’s added to my favorites now.
Do you think the TAVA thread would’ve been so humorous if CKHouston was empowered to run a moderated thread?

I humbly think you missed one historic event:

9/9/99 – End of file and end of history. Due to a lack of exception handling in code written prior to 1980, E_TEOTWAWKI exception events go undetected, providing the first example of the impending cascading uncaught exceptions that characterized the crossover into the new millenium.

January 2000 By the 1990's, New York's Times Square is a squalid nightmare... <snip>... but the neighborhood's final decline is complete with the arrival of the NASDAQ Big Top. Eight stories tall, the exterior is a tawdry electronic carnival of corporate logos and stock prices in motion. In a TV studio inside, carnival barkers stand before the Wall of Greed...<snip>...

That’s a product of NYSE’nis envy. Purely electronic markets need a wall of greed to generate the same kind of excitement on TV as front running open outcry specialists.
