If a trend has started where the vxn trends lower along with market, this will have very bearish implications. The action the past few days post op ex suggests this might be happening. Note, for example, the vxn bottomed a few weeks after the market topped on March 11, 2002. Vxn bottomed March 28th or right at EOM.
