CSCO opted not to. MSFT is but at a very low level

IMO we need to "wait and see" how investors react to the new tax bill. IMO I think investor sentiment will have an influence on some of the companies to either start paying a dividend....or to raise their current dividend.

MSFT's dividend yield of only .3% is laughable!
In fact I'm not really sure why they even did it.
Perhaps it was political to try and garner some support from the willing.
Who knows.
Maybe it was because Gates wanted some $400 million tax free money every year.

On an aside note
I remember watching Kudlow and Cramer the night MSFT announced the dividend.
Cramer was about as excited as a 12 year old with his first hard on.
He kept screaming in his pre pubescence shrill that he'll be buying all the shares anyone wanted to sell at 52*(was trading at 54 but down $1 1/2 in AH trading that day)
And on and on about how great of a company MSFT is and the announcement of the dividend just further proved it.
