reaper, I agree with you that JC Penney has no future. Sears as you know it has no future. I think CC's former way of doing business was flawed, and they are on the right track now. However, Best Buy is much easier to shop. CC is a maze. If they hadn't changed, they would have died. Now they're like on dialysis.

I'm not real familiar with TOY's financials, but one question you need to ask yourself about these retailers is, will it make a difference if they cease to exist? With TOY, you can get everything that's there at a discount store, and cheaper too. That's their main problem - Walmart. Most of our toy purchases are at a discounter because of the convenience. Who gives a rip about a giraffe?

Rite Aid is dead meat too.

I sure would hate to be bidding on Taubman right now with Sears and JCP in the situation they're in.

Without appliances and tools, what purpose does Sears serve? You could not dress anyone under 40 in their clothing voluntarily for the most part, so how can they make it with their softer side?
