Publix are great, but WIN has positioned themselves as a low-cost grocer while Publix is more of an upscale grocer. If you can save $0.30 on a gallon of milk and $0.29 on a Lb. of ground beef, many will shop at a Win Dixie.

Until there is an alternative servicing that demographic in those markets, WIN will hang around. That's why Walmart's a big threat if they bring out those small stores.

I guess I'm saying even though WIN is trash as a company, their stores without low end competition nearby will stay viable in the near term.
