I think China already revised their GDP growth for this year from 9% to 7.5% to reflect the SARS impact. Not sure about HK number.

I think the gov. should do something about those wild animal markets in Guangdong. And actually, it is not only Guangdong has this type of market. I read that the chinatowns in other SE Asian countries, such like Philippines also have this type of animal market.

Scientists in China now are experimenting using horses to produce SARS antibodies - injecting a little SARS virus on the horse, then after it recovers, take its blood for antibody.

China now also found out at least 8 Chinese herbal medicine having good result in fighting SARS. Hopefully this will help the current SARS patients so the death rate won't go up much further.
