Great article. The UN resolution was a victory for the US. France, Germany, and Russia were Saddam's buddies when he had control of Iraq's oil. Now that we and Britain occupy, it was probably foreseeable they'd try to weasel their way back into our good graces.

It's good we're curtailing our military ties with France. They're clearly an unfriendly nation not an ally.
