Q:
I think lot of small E&P companies are going to be acquired by larger independents. This is much lesser riskier than adding reserves by drill bit. Majors are going overseas for exploration. Price of oil and gas has to be high enough for any significant activity to continue. I think pipelines are going to be major player in the gas area in this decade, they can open up large acreage for exploration.

It's been many cycles ago since we last had true exploration. If we get it this cycle it will be good news for the drillers. The success rate will go down and the rig activity will stay high longer.
