Frankly, I'm not too optimistic but the tax cuts will probably trigger a big stockmarket push and other artificial means of boosting confidence so one will never know if they worked or they didn't.

As I wrote yesterday, it's also my opinion that the weak USD will be detrimental to the US economy because there are no exports to boost and imports will be more expensive. Furthermore, because foreigners won't have the big cash surpluses which arise from their exports to the US those funds will not be available to buy US debt or other assets.
