thanks. already read those reviews (I follow thread headers religiously! <g>), and finally decided not to wait for the official dpreview itself. (I decided against the G3 because I didn't need the extra bells and whistles and flexibility it came with, and because the S50 seemed nearly the same in quality while being a bit less bulky and a bit easier to use.) Have decided to keep mulling the printer question for a bit, thanks for the link. Agreed on the memory. Will do on the editing software. Do I really need a tripod if I'm not going to be doing arty stuff? tb@decisions,decisions.com
