You continue to avoid acknowledging the reality of the situation; whether it's TD-SCDMA out of China in the short term, or WiMAX 1-2 years from now, the GSM path continues to avoid paying royalties to qualcomm.

Not only is DO(A) toast, but now W-CDMA is toast as well...

That is a definite deterioration in the fundamentals of qcom since cdma2k is destined (doomed!?) to forever be a 15% share niche technology.
