Yeah, I remember 45s, I had a stack of them. If I remember they might have sold for $.35-$.45 .....I also remember the very first album I ever bought it was the Beach Boys.

why not let the more popular artists charge what the market will bear.....they certainly do that on the payscale wrt concert ticket prices.

Absolutely. There are still going to a be a lot of people who would never download an MP3 unless they have their teenage son or daughter around to do it. Unfortunately the age group that is the biggest market for music is the one that isn't daunted by a peer-to-peer site. I had my niece teach me to use Kazaa....I'm one of the most computer savvy old people I know and I found it a bit time consuming to get everything I wanted. I can't see most adults doing it, I guess it depends on how much value you place on your time. Wouldn't want it to interfere with the quality time I spend here discussing important economic policy issues. -ggg-

I think a lot of adults will go to MSN or APPL to download legally but then nobody will miss their money anyway.

I helped a client install a sound card today. She wanted me to show her how to get web radio and after we got her up and running we visited a few sites. It was like going through a mine field of Spyware. Finally I steered her towards using some of the featured sites on the Media Player. I hate to give one more outlet to Softy but the sites they featured didn't have all kinds of hidden crap loading onto your machine. I've had clients whose brand new machines have been brought to their knees with these ad generators.

The service is free you just pay with your life. Sometimes its relief to just buy something, then at least you know up front what the cost is going to be.
