Hi DJ, I got an e-mail from another cyber pal and,I quote: ... two for money and one for politics... Tommy Franks was not politically acceptable because of his wife. She has been in trouble multiple times for misuse of government staff and services. (Basically she turns everyone into her personal staff)..... Why put her through a Senate confirmation when he can make $$$$$$$ Franks, is now making USD $135,000 per year plus housing and bene's worth about 100K... His book deal is worth $5M plus he makes $3M per year on speaking circut and boards. After 35 years in Green I know what I would pick... ... the Powell family ... math was the same. These are men that do not earn what a 2nd year at Goldman Sachs earns. They need to sock some away. (And Sec. of Army is a downshift after Iraq)... As for Ari Fliesher, same.... He has never made more that 110K per year in his entire life. He has worked on the Hill and in campaigns. Burston Marsteller is offering him $400K per year, plus he can do books and speaking... As for Christine Whitman. that's a political fight,, and she said buzz off... Chugs, Jay
