Re:the granite in the "territories" is relatively quiet Its not as coherent as you suggest and the Churchill province varies significantly from the Slave. Some sulphides occur in granites in the former while they are less prevalent in the latter. The above combined with the density of dike swarms, shears, silt bogs and glacial till make for some very difficult to decipher surveys.

Ask Carl Bird how easy things are to read at Yamba and he knows what he's doing! There's a lot of gneiss on Melville and a fair amount of volcanics so like I said, I doubt exploration will be as easy as picking targets out of the window.

From what I recall, the Sommerset pipes had more going against them than just limited and inefficient sampling. The temperature gradient they were sourced from was on the hot side and reabsorbtion as I recall was significant.
