well I don't know, all I can say is that the polls here are often wrong. Right now the polls say Bush is immensely popular. In California he is hated. California is the largest state. The coastal states which have the highest GDP are disturbed by these policies I know. Of course it is counterbalanced by 911 emotionalism especially in NYC. There were more people killed in 911 than in Iraq from what I have seen, certainly more innocent civilians so this is really a tough emotion to control on the part of voters. Anyway though there are certainly areas where Bush policies are immensely unpopular although you read SI and it seems like the entire country is behind this nut.

Back to polls, in 98 when the same band of far right wierdos in politics impeached Clinton for lying about sex (LOL), the polls were predicting a republican landslide based on public outrage at Clintons behavior in office. In fact the opposite happened, it was a democratic landslide in the actual elections. So its hard to say what happens here next election. The dems don't have any real contenders to challenge Bush as president, but I doubt he carries the house and senate again. I think his power will be mitigated, the voters will send a message.
