The WMD issue was settled before we ever entered Iraq.

1. The Al-Samouds were a prohibited missle and potential delivery system for WMD and Iraq was in violation of UNSCR for having them. Although the Iraqis claimed they were within the allowed range (about 60 mi), the one which fell into the sea off Kuwait city had traveled over 300 miles.

2. Iraq refused to provide proof that it had destroyed the thousands of liters of BW and CW the UN weapons inspectors verified it possessed although given repeated opportunities to do so.

There's no embarrassment in freeing the Iraqis from the grip of a tyrant who repressed, tortured and starved them.....
