"So what do you think was Bush's motivation for Iraq, do you think he actually thought there were weapons there?" To the contrary, I think he knew they were not. Some of the so-called evidence was laughingly fabricated, your example of aluminum tubes is a good example. Personally I think he went for at least two reasons, oil and to distract everyone from the horrible economy. People tend to rally around a President during war. I also do not think they have satisfied all of their ambitions.

At the least they had the basic materials and research to produce them and sell them to terrorists. <<remember the "aluminum tubes"... >> Yep, and those aluminum tubes were the last step needed to turn the found uranium into a weapons grade material. All in all the world is better off now. Oil prices will be lower now, not just for the US but the world. You think the US has high unemployment, try looking at Germany. Lower energy prices lead to higher economies and employment.
