Most of the college kids I taught came from suburban public schools.

We both know that you were seeing the "Cream" John.

One major lesson learned from the 20th Century, as exemplified on the "Commanding heights" rerun last week, is that State run businesses, especially if they are unionized, are a disaster, world wide. They all give the same excuses.

I am not advocating total privatizing of the school system as a Political move. It will not happen that way, so it is a waste of time. As things get worse in the schools, and they will, you will see more moves towards vouchers. Like everything else in this country, the schools will be "mixed" in nature for a long time.
