Absolutely, Justa. Compared to other bottoms, this one was nothing. But it did meet the minimum criteria.

I think the only failure I could find for a 90% upside day coming closely after a 90% downside day was late August 1990.

In the January 1974 failure, the 90% upside day came a month after the final 90% downside day. A 90% downside day came a week later, but the market still went on to higher highs after that.
