"Popes" need to be clean calls. We would need to move before daytraders get it, before there is any issue of second guessing and short-term profit taking. Since you're Pacific time..... I'd say that an informal hurdle for a premarket "Pope" would be that the news was released after 5:00 a.m., and that you get it first. If it were released pre-5 a.m., you'd need to handle any irrational premarket gap. Just some thoughts.

I haven't been watching for them. I continue to work a trick that has worked for a couple of years, rolling forward position trades. It's not that I would shun the popcorn ops.... I just haven't gotten hold of any, lately, during market hours.
