Jim,

Is this our brilliant government using credit cards to pay off credit cards...I used to do this when I was younger...almost had to declare bankruptcy at the end of it...

From "federal reserves" on Zeev's thread..

FED pumps in 7.5

Up 2 for the day.

Keep raising the ante. These repo's look like a Dagwood sandwich now.

Big Treasury net cash needs this week. Fed needs to keep pumping or we will collapse.

WASHINGTON, May 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department said on Tuesday it will sell $16.00 billion of three-month bills and $16.00 billion of six-month bills on Wednesday, May 28.
It also said it will sell $25.00 billion in four-week bills on Wednesday, May 28.

All the bills will be issued on May 29.

Proceeds from the sales will be used to refund an estimated $43.78 billion of publicly held securities maturing on May 29 and to raise new cash of about $13.23 billion.
