Bad choice of wording. It should have read, "Weak liberals put us at risk". This would in the nature of what LBJ did, and Jimmy Carter after him, and finally, Bill Clinton. Through their weakness, all put our nation at great risk and ultimately, cost untold numbers of innocent Americans their lives.

Get a life...we lost 200 soldiers in Lebanon during Reagan's tenure and thousands more during Nixon's administration. That was 6 years into his governance of the vietnam conflict, which we eventually lost while he was in power. You are not lucid...stop smoking that weed

It didn't mean you would put other nations' interests ahead of your own.

You mean as we are doing with Israel today?

Today, it is we're liberals and we're here to grab more power in any way we can, regardless of who we have to run over to do it.

You are kidding...right? Look, you belong to a party that is fast approaching fascism...people can't even speak freely in this nation without having the Tom Delays of the world take a national cause against them...it's not that you went from your idealism to a more moderate stance...you are now a proud "goose stepping" supporter of a party that tramples democracy, shits on people of lesser means and sends armadas to foreign lands on a pack of trumped up lies. You talk about ceding sovereignity to another country? Give me a break!

Al

Liberalism was a different thing. Peace, love, flowerpower, all that sh*t. Today, it is we're liberals and we're here to grab more power in any way we can, regardless of who we have to run over to do it.

Liberalism is many things but it never was about flowerpower, peace or love. Those elements were part of a peculiar cultural manifestation fused with the coming of age of a whole generation. Liberalism is a much more profound ideology.

I suspect that you were always conservative but "flowerpower" gave you the illusion of being liberal. I certainly don't want my understanding of liberalism to be confused with the 60's notion of peace and love.
