There has been no announcement. Just a post burried in a seldom-visited thread. One person posted that they only found out because they saw this thread on the "hot topics" list and got curious. I found out from sketchy rumors posted on a thread that I participate in regularly. After a bit of poking around and following links, I found a post on this thread that referred to this thread. Users should not have to play hide and seek to find out that there are new owners. (BTW, Bob, if it's not a big deal that you didn't notify your users, except to post about it on an obsucre thread, it also shouldn't be a big deal that I am discussing it on an obscure thread, right? Maybe you should chill out. Geez, it's only words. We disagree. Only sometimes you do your disagreeing with a "delete" button.)
