Jay, the lessons i took to heart over four decades in forestry here can be boiled down to a two-word maxim - Invest Elsewhere .... -g- .... hardly ever followed the forestry shares here, used to play MacMillan Bloedel and Primex based on their predictable seasonal cycles, but outside of that no, always tried to put my eggs in some other basket ... historically in BC it went like this - great business up until say the early 1970s, downhill ever since .... many reasons .... i could make this a long ranty post but am called to play chauffeur for an hour or so .... check out the FOs vs Cuddlies thread, i think LC there knows more on the lumber shares than i do - Subject 51596 How about an oil/maize/etc trading firm slash diamond miner - #reply-18979021 .... that's the last thing i bought, got home just now and see i got filled on a bid today ..... later .... cheers ps - you know what is really cheap, real estate on the BC coast, outside the two big ugly clearcuts we have [called 'Vancouver' and 'Victoria']
