Companies stopped because too many woman had jobs equal to or better than the men, and they weren't about to give up their jobs to relocate for one salary.

It really wasn't worth it even when we moved, they destroyed our furniture every move, and at the time they didn't reimburse for replacement cost...It was "Okay, a $1000 chair, depreciated is now worth $100"...

I guess it boils down to Companies don't own the person any more. They never have loyalty to the employee, why should the employee worry about them?
