Durable goods orders slid 2.4 percent in April, much more than economists' expectations for a 0.9 percent decrease and their fourth decline over the past six months. Excluding transportation, durable orders slipped 1.2 percent and they fell 1.5 percent when excluding defense orders.

It's 99 all over again. I just got bitten by the Y2K bug. Man, this hurts!

Why can't they just drop gold to 200? or 0? I'd buy it for 1c an oz.
