Those are all your words and an interpretation of the world that may well suit your needs.

I see the volatility of a Qualcomm investment more related to the speculative nature of capital markets rather than the company's fundamentals or those of it's competitors. One has to be willing to endure such games throughout the swinging of the pendulum. However, at the end of each swing, the games (and real risk) become most ridiculous. That's just the way the markets work and creates the opportunity to ...

I think that suits both you and Eric but isn't it a bit ingenuine to other posters to couple it with stance of noisy bashing followed by silence (assuming of course you only post under one name)?

Again whatever ... without the banter of longs and shorts the markets would be mighty dull and millions of people would be left without a reason to rise and shine.
