I have repeatedly said we had no national security interest in Kosovo, a statement by which I stand; but that I supported our action in Kosovo on humanitarian grounds. I've made these statements innumerable times on this very thread. Your memory is selective. You said it in the clear context of a conflict we should never have entered....and you chided me when I said that Kosovo was a humanitarian mission. You know damn well both Reagan and Bush I aided and abetted Saddam in his various wars and his repression of his people. I have posted at least three links providing such evidence........some of it was testimony in front of Congress. Where was the right's hang wringing over the plight of the Iraqis then? The truth is is that the right's hands are dirty with Saddam's sins. Bush I even encouraged an uprising of the Shiites in '91 only to back off when he realized that might encourage the Iraqi Shiites to hook up with the Iranian Shiites. No way was he going to let that happen. That's what make me want to fall over with laughter when I hear the right's sudden concern for the poor Iraqi people. Tell it to the Iraqis........they might fall for it but keep me out of it. LMAO!! Better yet, the Iraqis probably will laugh in your face too........so will the Europeans and the Arabs. The only ones falling for it are some Americans in order to assuage their guilt. LMAO again!
