Something can be wrong, very wrong, even horribly wrong, without being like Hitler. Like Hitler is death camps, the attempt to exterminate the Jews and other "undesireables", the attempt to conquer Europe and crushing of freedom for hundreds of millions of people.

Do you think Hitler started out with death camps? Do you think Hitler began by killing the Jews? Of course not........what he and his administration did was to wage a low level campaign which, at first, simply undercut the position of the Jews in German society. He and his cabal fed the Germans a steady diet that played on their prejudices and fears, and exaggerated the personalities and activities of the Jews, blaming them for Germany's problems.

After years of fomenting hate, only then did he begin to round up the Jews first into ghettos, then into camps with the latter action done very secretly. So secretly and with so little confrontation that even if the Germans knew, they were able to stay in denial about it.

I think its imperative that we remain ever vigilant and watch for similarities of behavior and actions with current leaders to insure that another Hitler-like leader doesn't ascend to the head of a major power. It just makes very good sense. I would think you would agree with such thinking.
