"The dream is over imho."

Either that or we're setting the stage for another big run.

Limitex-

I think the upward momentum will come with the reported earnings combined with the economic growth.

In the analysts meeting, there were two NHL hockey sticks reported...one with the rollout of China and India....the other with the rollout of Brew. The demographics of these two effects are not priced in and is several times the mediocre growth estimates being used. In fact the WSJ reporter after listening to these growth factors reported the effect of SARS and literally ingnored these hockey sticks. They also ignored the complemetary nature of the WLAN.

These earning need to kick in and not be masked by QSI& misinformation. So,I think were stuck until reported earnings undeniable demonstrate these growth factors.

FWIW

Ken

Its not Qs fault it is just that Q is a short/hedgie favourite.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story....

Short interest has declined in Qualcomm both on an absolute level and a relative level (days to cover).

nasdaqtrader.com

From a days to cover perspective, it is in-line with all of the other Nasdaq giants (Intel, Microsoft, Cisco) at less than 2 days of short interest.

If you really want to see a stock that is heavily shorted....take a look at Cree. It is less than 1/10th the size of Qualcomm, but has a greater absolute number of shares short.

I wish that more funds were short Qualcomm, it would create a natural pool of buyers. Unfortunately, the current stockprice has more to do with a lack of buying interest than some sort of targeting by shorts and hedge funds.
