For the guru or advice business, I think for me to pay much heed I need to see a model portfolio that the guru gives buys and sells for ahead of time, even if just to the paying customers. I do this and so do many others. In a large portfolio, there will ALMOST always be winners and losers so what matters is if someone following the portfolio makes money. I read you and da cheif and enjoy the reading but I really don't know if either is very accurate as neither of you publish a model portfolio. I would never pay anyone for advice either who doesn't offer a "past record" as it is far too easy to "load the deck" by highlighting the great calls. For example, I could tell you about my last trade of WCOM where I made over 3x my money in days)bought at 7 cents and sold at 25 cents) but if I didn't tell you about the huge losses before that made WCOM a loss overall then would that be honest? All this is moot if I give a portfolio performance where all the buys and sells are included. Perhaps if you did a model portfolio then your critics would be satisfied? Of course, if following your advice really does cause people to lose money, then you don't want to do this. Kirk
