Chinese got those so-called points from the SARS experience already, why we need a Westerner gave us those with that type of nasty lecturing tone. Tell you what, most of Chinese are soooo sick of that type of tone!

as of "But that also means the cost of running the country will be higher and it will translate into higher cost of doing business. ", 50 years from now, when Chinese gov. has more money, maybe can afford to do that, but not now. the per capita gov. workers in China is significantly lower than what the US does. And that is one of the results from the economic reform in the last 2 decades, so why should China reverse what it has accomplished not long ago? although modernize the health care system has nothing to do with increase the gov. workers.
