Yeah, but at its birth the US didn't have legions of brilliant neocons around to do things right. The Founding Fathers were mere mortals, they were capable of making mistakes and had some humility. The neocons pay lip service to the Founding Fathers on occasion, but it's clear the neocons belong to an entirely different species of human being, candidates for Olympus more than Rushmore. In their own always-right minds, anyway.

And that is damn fast. We live in an instant gratification society. Nothing is considered with perspective anymore. It took 75 years to lose the Soviet Union. And the truth of the matter is, changes in iraq have already been revolutionary in nature. You dont get shot anymore for expressing your opinion. But its only the first mile on a long journey. Mike
