I understand the request, and it's a toughie. I'm sure the nav buttons are in a table whose width is specified as a percentage rather than pixels, which is a good thing, since we all use different resolutions. The problem happens when the window gets wider because of a fixed-font message.

I'm sure the same problem exists on iHub. I'll be looking into it, as it annoys me, too, but it's a low priority.
