<Dearest Claude, this post, I think, is one of the few dumb ones you have done.>

Thanks Eliz. I always appreciate your sincere and direct comments. LOL

<Are you suggesting that it is easier to predict and forecast metal cycles than analyzing individual companies and their results? >

No. But in many cases it can be easier. It depends on the circumstances.

It is easy to evaluate results. I am with you on that. And it is for this reason that we suggest selling two former favorites last January.

But the situation here had nothing to do with exploration results as the recent news on La Curacacha were good and in line with expectations.

What is not easy is to anticipate future company decisions or to guess on unexpected discoveries and other things. There are events in the life of these companies (especially the juniors) that can have major influence on short term prices that cannot be analysed and forecast.

It was easy to identify that gold was overbought in June 2002, late January 2003 and last Monday. In fact, I suggested to take profits on all these 3 occasions, almost on the day gold topped in all 3 occasions (assuming last Monday peak was a top).

However it was impossible to predict that CKG was about to delay its drill program by 4-5 months. IMO this was one of the factor that influence the price drop. Last fall it was impossible to predict SWG's discovery in China.. and so on.

I am suggesting that if CKG had start drilling that huge anomaly at La Curacacha last month like it should have, instead of delaying this events for months, we would not have seen this decline and many would not have followed your advice. Of course, I am not suggesting at all that you are the second factor that influence the decline.
