El Mat, you've got a whole store of practical, dare I say great?, ideas. Maybe you can help out this wireless chap from Telephony OnLine?

Editor's Perspective
I'm a Believer, Too
By Jason Ankeny

Last week in his TelephonyOnline Update
e-newsletter, my colleague Jason Meyers wrote of a new magazine called The Believer, which among its many essays, interviews and reviews includes a feature called "Idea Share." Offering up "uncopyrighted ideas free for the taking," "Idea Share" is a clearinghouse of inspiration, with readers submitting their original ideas for novels, gadgets and what have you "in the hopes that these worthy projects will find their way to someone with the time and wherewithal to pursue them."

Jason took the ball and ran with it, proposing that his readers submit their own ideas for improving telecom. Whatever your stroke of genius--whether it's a killer business strategy, a groundbreaking new technology or simply a boost for employee morale--you can send it to Jason, and assuming it follows The Believer's proviso that all ideas be "helpful, practical and realizable," you might just see it appear in a future newsletter.

Taking the spirit of idea-sharing a step further, I've decided to steal Jason's proposal and invite readers of this newsletter to submit their own wireless-themed ideas and suggestions. Anything goes: The ideas may be big or small, and encompass everything from cool wireless applications to insight on how to actually make money off Wi-Fi access. If I receive enough good ideas, I'll compile them in a future edition of On the Air for everyone to read and, ideally, pursue.

Given the passion for wireless evinced in e-mails I've gotten from you guys in the past, I sincerely doubt that a scarcity of good ideas is going to be a problem. Just don't follow my example and steal them from a co-worker.
