She mended her ways.

My daughter studies in an International school US down in Curitiba. Learning both English and Portuguese. After the problem with math, (a breeze since her mother is a math teacher) she was being behind in English and Portuguese.

The teachers didn't underdstood why a Brazilian couldn't speak Portuguese or write Portuguese well. She was born in West Java Indonesia, and had been hopping, from Swedish to Czech and end up not speaking much Portuguese.

OK I was to blame since I told her that its the language of Mocambique and Angola and she should not worry about it)

Today, my wife wrote me that she booked a flight for next week to come to BKK just to be informed that on the June 13th she is going to get an award of being the best Portuguese AND English student of her class.

I am asking her to re-book and stay for her to get her award. Because Oon the 4th grade, the day I fell from my bicycle in the mud and didn't get to the school, I lost my award of the second best student and didn't get the prize ("Les Miserables" of Victor Hugo).

They elected another guy and gave the book to him!!! Even today, 40 years later I don't forgive them for me to have won and have not get the award.

From where I seat in the Internt cafe in BKK I can see Kikokunia Bookshop, the best book shop around here. Can find any book there. I have money and could go there buy the Victor Hugo book, But one day I go back there -perhaps the school still exists and ask them to repair the damage and give the fucking book that rightly belong to me...

When the new WTC reaches the highest point (we don't have to wait for them to re-open) I want you to go to the construction company manageent and tell that we couldn't get to the WTC's top. And ask for a special permission for us to climb the unfinished building and survey the landscape we couldn't do. Tell them we sign a document saying we are repsonsible for our own, to avoid them talk about we suing them if anything happen and that I am a microwave guy with experience in working at heights.

If they refuse, bribe them with a bottle of Jack Daniels and tell when his boss is not there for us to climb the new building.

I will fly to NY, climb the building and I will try to persuade my friend Kevin Maney of the "USA Today" to write our story in his paper.

BT phone combo to fight fixed-to-mobile substitution. Dow Jones reports that BT said this week in a presentation to investors that they will begin marketing a mobile phone that can also make calls on a fixed line or over Internet links in a move aimed at stopping the leakage of traffic from fixed to mobile networks. The article notes that some investors believe that BT, which does not own a mobile network, is facing a long-term threat to revenues as mobile tariffs fall. (Dow Jones)
Wireless industry in U.S. maturing, says analyst report. The wireless industry in the U.S. is maturing and changing, and, correspondingly, wireless carriers must take a hard look at spurring capex and increasing revenue streams, according to Probe Group. Probe reports that there is increased use of wireless data services that are propelling the need for advanced networks and greater coverage. However, obstacles to signing on customers to data services include lack of understanding of new, unfamiliar applications and power consumption. Probe's data shows that in 2003, growth in wireless services will come from such applications as multimedia messaging. Other major applications will include e-mail, web browsing and personal information management (PIM) applications. Voice will also remain an important wireless application, as the majority of usage is for voice, says the Probe report. (Unstrung)

Telcos are running for cover.
