So far the stock has responded well to the news.
The more I think about, the more I like it.

NEM and SWV did not just agree not to match BHP's offer for the 20& Hunter stake, they were paid not to match the offer.

BHP will fund the first part of the exploration, and NEM and soon to be partner SWV will forgo about $4,000,000 in payments due in order to maintain their share.

I believe many junior mining companies have floundered at about this stage and have had to dilute out the equity of their projects because of financial pressures. THe Aviat project appears to financially strong now.

Again I do not believe that BHP would be making this investment if they did not think that their 20% interest would not pay.
