been there ... don't want to re-open things that we already discussed. Many who profess faith do blindly support the president's policies, but not all ... I don't and I don't agree with those who say amen to everything he says because he invokes God's name. I know many very serious students of the Bible who are very good at critical thinking in many areas, but obviously there is no getting around this -- if there is Divine Revelation of Ultimate Reality (I think I have good reason to believe that there is -- in the person of Jesus, BTW) -- such understanding will by it's nature go beyond what we can conceive of on our own, with our own limited faculties for thought. That doesn't have anything to do with W's opinions on matters of foreign policy for me -- EXCEPT -- to the extent that I am willing to -- beyond where I can effect change -- believe that God is ultimately in control -- whether something is a part of His permissive will or a direct part of His will at that point is somewhat moot, as I believe His purposes will succeed in this world and concerning me -- no matter what evil occurs.
