TALX brings high-profile clients together to share best practice methods and explore shared payroll and HR issues

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2003--TALX Corporation (NASDAQ: TALX), a leading business process outsourcer of payroll-related and human resources services, held its first Client Advisory Board (CAB) meeting in Lincolnshire, IL on May 14-15, 2003. The Client Advisory Board will convene several times a year to provide valuable feedback on the use of TALX services, discuss legislative issues impacting payroll and HR business processes and exchange views on current topics of mutual interest. The 14-member CAB included executives from major employers Federated Department Stores, Ford Motor Company, Gap, Inc., Ingersoll-Rand Company, Kelly Services, Walgreen Co., and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., among others.
Commenting on the Client Advisory Board, Mike Smith, vice president market development for TALX said, "It was great to see such leading companies come together to help us refine TALX services as well as discuss common payroll and HR issues. We want our top clients to help us drive our business process outsourcing services and this forum was an excellent way to discover important innovative services that clients are looking for that will reduce their operating costs."

"This was truly a unique gathering," commented Frank Gottschall, vice president-HR services for FACS Group, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Department Stores, "...with the use of TALX services as a common denominator we had an exceptional framework to discuss shared business issues." The Client Advisory Board members will be able to network on a regular basis between meetings to stay current and exchange views.
