I agree it has gotten so bad now that it would take replacing our present form of government to get back on track.

Some may not like the Cato Institute. I don't know. But I highly recommend reading this CI study on the information collecting activities of the US Government to date. It's very alarming and depressing that the gov has gone so far, farther than is generally known, in collecting every possible scrap of information on everybody. The study has a Libertarian slant, meaning it seems to say that what is happening is bad and violates our rights to privacy. Which is certainly true. It is 34 pages and I have not gotten through it myself, but here it is. I printed it out with the intention of wading through the whole thing. I may yet do that!
