When we first bought this house in 85 there were bats on the 3rd floor. Being a city kid, I wasn't exactly prepared for that. What I did was, I sealed the opening where they were coming and going from. Only I did it in the daytime. Don't ask me what I was thinking about, I wasn't thinking.

So we're sitting down to dinner and I get up for some reason and walk toward the hall, where I get buzzed by a bat. I hit the deck and peer around the corner into the hallway. All I can see are shadows of flapping bat wings on the wall. The wife and I make a quick exit to the back yard, where we stand looking through the window at A LOT of bats flying around our house. It was then I realized that night time is the time to seal those openings. After they've left.
