It seems that, when I get a little angry, some people want to shun me. Gee!! I wonder why?? :^)) The Republican Party, as long as it remains conservative, is the natural for taking up the libertarian flag on some issues. So far, except for the panic from 9/11, Bush has seemed to lean that way, but he won't be there after 2008, so a lot will depend on who follows him. I think we can count Cheney out. There are a lot of things that can be, either privatized, or left for the local systems to handle. After all, billions of our tax dollars are being wasted on a large percentage of federal employees that do nothing of value to the nation. After seeing the news a couple of days ago, the thought of Bush going to Saudi Arabia made me think about the possible consequences. Personally, I don't think he should go because of the concentration of terrorists in that area. I don't care what anyone says, the Saudis are not our friends, or allies. If perchance a horrible deed was done, the next in line is Cheney, and I don't know if his heart is up to taking the whole job, so if he stepped down, Powell is the next to fill the office. That could be interesting. I could be good because of his military bent, but he would have to sluff off some of his tolerance of rogue nations, and groups. Just something to think about. In these dangerous times, I just don't like Bush taking these, risks that are no really necessary. He shouldn't go to Israel either at this time, IMO. I hope all is well with you, and yours. Are you still living among the Indians?? haqi
