Economic nationalism from Steve Harmon, huh? What he seems to miss is that the jobs (especially in labor-intensive sectors such as software where physical location is nearly irrelevant) are going to go to where the work can get done at the lowest cost - all costs factored in. HP's choice is whether to employ people in India to churn out lines of code or not employ people doing it at all and buy rather than build the software they need. It's basic economics and screwing with it by putting up barriers to American companies moving work over seas only raises costs and makes those American companies less competitive.
